Have you ever wondered how the other half lives? Do you ever stop to think about people in far off lands and what kinds of homes they live in ? Well, we can’t really categorize this blog under first time home buyer tips, but I did find some interesting dwellings I thought I should share with you.

  • The Czech Republic is our very first stop where an innovative man has built a house he can actually move up and down and rotate from side to side so he can adjust his view from the windows. Bohumil Lhota built the place in 2012.
  • First time home buyer tips for North Americans might be about learning how to make the most of the space they have, but the Chinese have brought that to a new level. Liu Lingchao has actually made himself a house from bamboo that he can pick up and carry with him. He added some plastic bags and bed sheets and came up with a 1.5 m wide and 2 m high portable house that he can pick up and carry since he walks about 20 km each and every day.
  • The Japanese have always been innovative people and that’s why no one should be surprised they’ve come up with a soccer ball shaped home that is resistant to natural disasters. This technological marvel actually floats and is resistant to earthquakes. Perhaps best of all is the price because Kimidori Housing in Japan sells these for less than $15,000.

Finally, the last of these homes from around the world comes from our American friends who have developed a tiny house that you can pull behind your car like a trailer. The Tiny House Movement started several years ago in the United States to meet the demands of people who want to simplify their lives.
